“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”

How we’ll work together

My counseling approach is collaborative in nature, with the goal of providing a comfortable, warm environment for my clients. We will incorporate different counseling techniques from a wide range of theories in order to overcome irrational, dysfunctional, and unhealthy thought processes that amplify and prolong emotional strain, trauma, and tension. These techniques may include EMDR, expressive arts, foundational health, nervous system regulation and other strategies.

I employ a holistic approach to wellness and mental well-being through consideration of all aspects of a person, pondering not just the symptoms and diagnosis but also social and emotional factors. By combining holistic strategies with the whole treatment method, a more detailed plan for healing will boost the clinical result. My goal is to help guide and support my clients through tough times of discomfort and uncertainty.

I received my B.A. from Baylor University and my M.S. in clinical mental health counseling from Texas Woman’s University. I started seeing clients in a private practice setting in 2016, and offered counseling services to a broad range of populations. When I’m not in the office you can find me reading, cooking, being outside or spending time with my husband, daughter and our two pups!
